Very pretty quilt.

pollyjvan9 09-24-2012 06:12 AM

This is a beautiful quilt. I don't know what the pattern looked like, but it is hard to picture it looking any better than your version!

WTxRed 09-24-2012 06:21 AM

Very nice the way this turned out - I'm kind of partial to the 2 color colorway! I have some great Laurel Burch Horses fabric that i've been debating on and this may very well be the solution! Thanks so much for posting!

PolkaBabe 09-24-2012 07:03 AM

Wow this is beautiful.

I've made this pattern too! I had a large print that I didn't want to cut up too small, this pattern worked out great.

matraina 09-24-2012 03:28 PM

Very, very nice - the pattern and the colors.

MimiBug123 09-24-2012 07:07 PM

So pretty! Great idea for using some of my large scale prints.

blueheavenfla 09-24-2012 07:26 PM

Thank you for sharing this lovely quilt and the pattern...you did a great job on it.

1screech 09-24-2012 07:42 PM

Wow that is a striking quilt. It does not look so easy.

Yooper32 09-25-2012 04:45 AM

Great quilt and great "saves" you managed. That makes a very striking quilt and especially showcases a nice Hawaiian print.

Debbie C 09-25-2012 05:04 AM

this is gorgeous! I was lucky enough to find a lot of hawaiian print fabric at an estate sale over the summer - now I know what to do with it!!

Marcia_PA 09-25-2012 05:40 AM

I love it. Simple but elegant. I have some oriental fabrics and think I'll try that pattern. Thank you for posting.

Cindy60545 09-25-2012 09:12 AM

I think it came out just spectacular! Your adjustments just really made it superb!

beatys9 09-25-2012 10:05 AM

Your quilt came out great! This is a wonderful use of that Hawaiian fabric. The pattern reminds me of the 'cut out' cement bricks that are very common in Hawaii. We had them in the yard, used them to make bookcases, etc.

QandE2010 09-25-2012 11:10 AM

That turned out very pretty. I like the black with the Hawaiian print. Thanks for sharing.

callen 09-25-2012 11:56 AM

I love the original pattern because the black sets off those rose colours so beautifully but I also like what you did with it. One would never know that you had altered the original pattern. Well done.

Beautiful quilt! I keep coming back to look at it. I think it's a sign......

caspharm 09-25-2012 06:22 PM

It looks great. You're a great sister and aunt.

Jammin' Jane 01-11-2013 02:29 PM

Awesome! I love that pattern!
Your fabric is gorgeous! :)

terlyn 10-25-2013 07:57 AM

Love this one too. Can anyone help with the conversion to how much fabric it takes in yards not m?
Thanks terry

terlyn 10-25-2013 08:01 AM

May I ask what the BQ pattern is? Also are there any tips for the measurements? Do you know how much fabric is needed in yards?
Thanks terry

I absolutely love this pattern. I am SOOOOOO glad you posted this quilt. I am a stash collector that goes into a store to buy blenders & comes out with more "focus" material. BQ has been my favorite go-to pattern for these large design fabrics. I am tickled pink to see something else that would work.

Would you mind posting the converted block measurements? I'd rather not re-invent the wheel unless I have to.

Thanks so much.

I love your quilt with just the 2 colors...
