I'm trying to find others who have made this quilt, anyone out there? This is what I finished yesterday. It's a pattern by Sharon Schamber that was printed in 6 issues of Quilters Newsletter magazine in 2004.
Here's a picture of the whole quilt when finished...

Great pattern, great 30's fabric, it will be really wonderful when finished, can't wait to see it.

Perfect pattern choice for your '30's fabrics. Don't forget to show us again when you complete your project.

sewnclog 12-10-2018 07:42 AM

I really like that pattern but don't have those issues; I looked and not all can be found - I've looked. Oh well; one less for my 'bucket' list. Yours is so pretty.

Ellen 1 12-10-2018 08:14 AM

I don't remember if I saved the photo or the pattern.....hahaha. I'll check. I thought this quilt was beautiful at the time, but had so many others bump in front of the line, I forgot about this one.

sue.ross.8782 12-10-2018 09:43 AM

So pretty. It has a wonderful vintage look to it. I look forward to seeing the finished quilted product.

I added appliqued corners today. I'm hoping to find someone who has made this quilt?

This was my first time doing applique. I used Sharon Schamber's method and it worked really well. I'm happy with it.

BSKTLOFR-QUILTER 12-11-2018 02:52 PM

It's totally gorgeous. Can't wait to see it quilted. The appliqué is exquisite and changes the quilt pattern.

I put the churn dash blocks on the center of the quilt this weekend. (Still hoping to find someone who has made this quilt.)

That is going to be a stunner! I saw this on Pinterest years ago and saved it thinking I would like to make it. Had no info on it, didn't even know the name of it. Then not too long ago it showed up here and a long discussion occurred and inquiries and searching for the pattern occurred with the end result being the name and that the pattern was no longer available. Sooooo.. I deleted it from my saved pics. And then, low a behold it pops up again and you want to know if anyone has or is making it. I would still like to make it, but finding the pattern is still an issue. I wonder if those who were successful in finding the pattern ever made it. And if so, I'd love to see them! Some major searching went on.
You are doing an excellent job on yours and I look forward to seeing your finish. Keep up the good work.

kathymarie 01-03-2019 08:37 AM

To Jaiade: I just "acquired" the magazines today...am waiting for them. The patterns were the 6 issues of Quilters Newsletter magazine from 2004....April to October issues. I've had 2 issues and found the complete set here on the board. Give me about 6 months and I may be ready to part with them by them...I'll keep you in mind and pm you when my quilt is finished. Isn't Christine-'s quilt wonderful? There is a scalloped fan border as the last round in the pattern. I can hardly wait to see her finish and how it will be quilted.

Marj50 01-03-2019 09:53 AM

Beautiful! Love the 30s fabric in this design!

fivepaws 01-06-2019 06:46 AM

I really love the quilt. You are doing a great job.
