Very nice, I can feel the softness of it!
Oh how neat ! Look so soft and snuggly too  Want my addy ???? LOL
what did you use for the filling?
what do you fill your pillow packs with? I need to make me one...the one I have (bought online) is wearing out.
I could sure use one of them right now.
I love that minky cover! Pretty and it will keep the rice warm longer too :D:D:D
Did you follow a pattern or make your own? I've tried two different patterns and wasn't happy with them. I really like the cover you show. I'm trying to get 10 of these done before Xmas.
Frugal - I'm using extra clean dear corn from Academy Sports (walmart & other places have it too). 40lbs for $6. |
Thank you for the info - I'll have to go check it out - I've never heard of dear corn. ok.

I saw patterns online, and figured I could wing it.
I sewed 4 minky strips 3 in long, cut 15 in, then attached another block of 4 to the first. I stuffed some with rice and peppermint oil, buckwheat and almond oil, and some with flax that was run thru a dehydrator to remove oils before stuffing. I lined the inside with kona scrap, and then made the pillowcase end. There is a small strip of velcro on the inside, and you heat the rice/buckwheat for 2 min and the flax for about 1.5 min. |
