Actually, those patches were not fussy cut. The whole thing was done with strips. And, when I first got that floral print, I wasn't crazy about it, but I wound up liking the result.

These are the bride's favorite colors, and the ones she used in the wedding. I actually made the blocks twice, because the first group did not have enough pink in them.

Thanks so much! The avatar is a small wall hanging that I made as a gift for one of my best girlfriends. I don't do much applique, and I like the way it turned out. Next year I plan to do another applique quilt.

I really appreciate that. The whole thing was done on a vintage Featherweight, including the free motion quilting. While I usually do my quilting on my 1980's Bernina ( I think it's an 1130), I wanted to use the older machine to prove to myself it could be done.
