This is the first circle quilt I have done, I used interfacing and ressed the circles in, I am planning on adding a small blanket stitch to help hold the circle in place..not sure if the interfacing will be enough. As I started to put them up I really noticed some are puckered, will this relax with quilting..another wash? Should I just stop now...not a great pic but please.....let me know if you think I should start over....Thanks for any help!

That's a lot of fine work. Just out of curiosity, though, why the interfacing? Was that instead of paper piecing?

Forgive me if I don't explain this right, the center was template cut and sewn together, no paper piecing. The circle in the white square was turned under with interfacing then pressed the inner circle to it. The pattern called for me to sew the two together, I couldn't do that, it was just to difficult to ease the small circle in. I bit off a bit more than I can chew here, but I have learned alot and am enjoying the challenge. Is it selvagable?

Whatever you are doing it looks fantastic. I wish I understood exactly how you are doing it because I would love to make circles that look that interesting and beautiful. Hang in there with it!

Oh, I get it now. A blanket stitch by hand or machine will hold it just fine. Then you can quilt around the rest of the block in a stipple or any way you wish, and it will be fine.

I think with quilting it will be fine, but you can spray with water and block the blocks and maybe get some of the puckeriness out

puckers or no puckers it is beautiful

press the blocks on a valour towel using the valor side of the towel up. the puckerness should press out. its beautiful no matter. (Press with the embroidery down into the valour side)

Yes, after it is quilted, it should hide any of the puckers that don't come out when you do the blanket stitch. :)

Your quilt is going to be beautiful. Quilting will take care of the little puckers and all will be well.

I've done a number of quilts and blocks that involve circles and it's not unusual to have a bit of "puckering" around them..a couple of things happen.. when you stitch them down it will smooth out a little or when you quilt it and wash it you'll get just enough shrinkage that the puffiness of the quilting will make it so that you don't notice it much if at all.

I think that this is a case where the puckers will 'quilt out' and/or will be tamed by the blanket stitching. Unless it's the photo, I don't see anything really horrible. Beautiful start. I would just keep going.
