This is my first quilt I ever did need to know how to have it quilted.

Stitch in the ditch is all I have done so far, so I may not be much help.
If you don't get more helpful replies, maybe you could type "quilting" in the search box and check out those threads for ideas.
I need lots of practice before branching out past the S.I.T.D. :-D

Stitch in the Ditch would be best for your first quilt. I love your colors and you did a very nice job piecing it.

I would quilt with some kind of swirly design.

MinnieKat 08-19-2010 11:37 AM

I'd use an overall stipple...

I would stich that one with either Clam Shells or the Baptist Fan. Both would look real nice on your quilt and shouldn't bee too expensive to have done.

if you can't do fmq or swirls, just to diagonal lines. lots of them. coming from one corner and radiating out, then more from the side, etc. Till you fill the quilt. easy and different.

I would meander it. It's a very pretty quilt. Great job.

I think an all over stipple would be good.

I'd head to my favorite quilter, look over all her all-over designs and pick the one I felt matched the best! Something swirly or flower like! :-D

I can see a nice feathery leaf all-over design on this. Kind of a large design. Check the web for pantograph designs to help you decide on something.

How are you doing the quilting? Is it on your domestic machine or do you have a long arm?
