I have found that everyones l/4" isn't the same which can cause the unevenness. It is a beautiful quilt and even in the
picture you can't really tell the mismatch. After it is quilted
you won't even see it. A Big Hug to you for taking on this
challenge. Are you going to machine quilt it or hand quilt it.
Either way, it does hide a lot, and unless you have a magnifying glass no one will know. Just enjoy your progress.

I love that pattern and the fabrics, Very Pretty :D:D:D

Your DN is going to look at her quilt, and see the love and time that her mother and you put into it. She is going to love and appreciate the fact that you finished the quilt, that her mother wanted her to have... Do a few unmatched seams really matter?
Don't worry, enjoy the rest of the construction and quilting, don't be so hard on your self (((HUGS)))

While my daughter and I were browsing in a quilt shop, I remarked to my daughter that some of the seams in a quilt I was piecing weren't matching up exactly right. The lady who runs the shop overheard and said, "No one will be looking at your quilt critically enough to notice, and if anyone does, he/she shouldn't." She's right. I'm critical of my own work, but only notice the beauty in quilts made by others. Your quilt is sunny, bright, and beautiful! Enjoy finishing it as a treasure to pass along from both you and your sister.

with the imperfections your niece will love it. especially since it was started by her mom who has dementia. it will be a reminder that her mom loved her a lot.

I agree. Hugs to you for finishing it and God Bless You All!! I'd rather have it just the way it is. I'm sure it will be the favorite !!!

Stop being so harsh on yourself. Give it to her with a smile and a hug.
She will be forever grateful especially if mom gets to the point she does not remember who her DD is. Then DD can wrap herself up in the quilt and cry, laugh, sob, pout, whatever her heart desires and be wrapped in the love of her mother and her aunt.

Once it is beautifully quilted, you will never see what you see now. It is is beautiful and will be cherished by the recipient.

Mine NEVER match,I have long ago accepted that fact lol, I think this is beautiful and my philosophy is unless it is for a contest or a quilt police who cares not me!!!!

Just my 2 cents, anyway I think it is beautiful and I for one would be thrilled with a gift like this!

I agree with Rae- I always have trouble with something not lining up. I'm starting to think of it as my creative license hahaha

In the end it does not matter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
