help me decide baby quilt layout

I had this put all together and realized it looked like 4 swastikas. While I know that is still a good luck symbol in some cultures, I couldn't see it in this particular baby's quilt. Please let me know which arrangement would be best for a baby boy. I can make extra blue blocks, but I am out of the one yellow fabric.

I like the 1st and 4th ones the best!

mommessy 01-26-2012 12:57 PM

I like the first one!

TanyaL 01-26-2012 01:12 PM

I would make more blue ones. And put the yellow ones on the back side. Buy some solid yellow to go with them.

BeckySt 01-26-2012 01:15 PM

I like the 1st one.

char634w 01-26-2012 01:17 PM

I also like the 1st one. Very cute.

TerryQuilter 01-26-2012 01:31 PM

I like the first one best, gives more movement to the quilt. Lovely colors

QuiltnNan 01-26-2012 01:52 PM

my vote is for the first one.

dunster 01-26-2012 03:00 PM

#1!!! It's going to be a pretty, sunny quilt.

sandilee 01-26-2012 03:40 PM

Number 1 is my choice

bubble951 01-26-2012 03:55 PM

I choose door #5.

eann 01-26-2012 04:26 PM

#1 gets my vote. Lovely colors. I like it very much.

seam-ripper-sue 01-26-2012 04:46 PM

#2 is my pick, its cudly looking, #1 is my second choice.

SWEETPEACHES 01-26-2012 04:50 PM

pictures 4 and 5 look the same to me, just different order, but same pattern

What if you took picture 4 (or5) and switched the last two rows. in other words, make one row going vertical, and the next one going horizontal, then vertical, then horizontal.

Voting for #1 also - gives the impression of woven strands. Nice sunny happy colours!

suebee 01-26-2012 04:53 PM

I like that last one the best. Going to be darling, no matter what you decide. :)

dd55 01-26-2012 04:55 PM

i like the 4th one the best.

All your arrangements look great, and it still amazes me how you can get such different patterns by the moving of a few blocks. Whatever arrangement you decide on, it is going to be a beautiful quilt. Thanks for sharing.

TacoMama 01-26-2012 08:16 PM

IMHO, I like #4 best, but it's what you like. If you want more blue, add more and put the yellow in, but not equal amounts.

Janet L52 01-26-2012 09:45 PM

I prefer the first one. Pretty fabric!

audsgirl 01-27-2012 12:41 AM

I like the second one. It gives it a more modern look. But it looks like I am the odd one here!

dungeonquilter 01-27-2012 09:14 AM

If you put all the blue vertical and all the yellow horizontal and alternate them like in #2, it would look woven.

patsynel 01-27-2012 09:26 AM

I like #1, it is going to look great no matter where you go with it.

Blinkokr 01-27-2012 10:04 AM

Have a Blessed day

#1 gets my vote.

Sandee 01-27-2012 02:10 PM

I'd go with #1.

Material Witness 01-27-2012 06:05 PM

The 3rd one. A non-square baby blanket makes sense.
