the post about using shoe cubes for storing fabric. I've been through at least 50 pages and can't find it. I wish I'd learn to save things I'm interested in!!
Here is the only picture I saved from the post:

I think this was a gal from alaska.

If it was alaskasunshine, she has a tutorial on that thread showing and/or telling how she folded the fabrics. Go through the tutorial section. I hope this helps.

I don't know whos stash that is, but I am very jealous....I could only dream of having that much fabric in my house to pick from!

Not me, but I have 3 of these. 1 is in a closet with shoes in it, other 2 are in sewing area. I put 4 rolling wheels on each one, they can turn on a dime and give 9 cents change!! Since they are spreading out lengthwise, I think I may get another 1 or 2 and put 1 on top of each one, standing upright on top. It'll be easy enough to drill a hole in each bottom side and in the middle to screw them to the bottom shelves. And they will still move around to suit me. I plan to shortly make some small drawers to slide in them. I make cardboard ones to see if they would work well and I liked them enough to make them of wood.

I don't keep fabric in them, just sewing aids. Well, maybe just a little bit of what I'm working with at the moment, since I tend to lose what I'll need for whatever project I'm working on after a couple of days.

These are shoe cubes she bought at Lowe's.
Thank you though for trying.

Yepper!!!!! I KNEW it!!! I got an answer to my quiry!!! A wonderful member provided the EXACT link I needed!!!! I was looking for a thread by a member who has an award-winning quilt that's missing. I was wondering if it had ever turned up. I went to the thread, but she hasn't given any updates so I posted. I sure hope her quilt has come home. It was magnificent, and it is so heartbreaking to know that it's out there somewhere in the wrong hands!!! :-( If you are curious about it, here is the link: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-107544-1.htm

CindyinNY 05-07-2011 04:43 PM

I'm glad you got your answer too! I also went check out the missing quilt post. How heartbreaking that is! It can't have just disappeared!! There are some really bad people in this world and I'd bet one of them has it!
I will pray that someday, somehow she will get it back.
