I think the extra window is nice, but I would have put red there, and next one would be one of the other colors that isn't the same as the colors surrounding it. The scattered extra windows sounds like a great idea, too. Your colors are beautiful and very jewel-like.

Very pretty quilt. I prefer it without the extra window.

well call me dumb but what window<<<<<<showing my blonde spot?

When you do the 10 minute block, you have a diamond in the center. All you do is roll the edges into a curve and secure down. I added in the squares of colored fabric before rolling the edge and machine stitching it down. Or the edges can be hand stitched, but my 'Uncle Art' [arthritis] just doesn't want me to do that any more. Hope that this is as clear as mud. Any questions, PM me.

I like it best without the extra block, also.

I like it with the extra block, but then I used the extra block in mine. I guess that I'm not the best judge.:)
You do what you like!! |
I think I would leave out the extra block.

I like it both ways. But if you add the extra windows (either everywhere or sprinkled every now and then), I'd have no big cream coloured windows but restrict the cream colour to the small windows.

Beautiful...and I really like the extra window...it makes it very unique!

Just a thought, but you could pop just one extra into the quilt somewhere - I forget what the tradition is called, but including something that's a little "off" reminds us that only God can make something perfect.
