Skip the extra window and save yourself some work. It will be fine without it.

If you go to you tube there is a video tutorial on the 10 minute block and it is so easy and shows how to turn the edges to make a faux cathedral effect. You will love it.

I really really like it with the extra window. It breaks up the symetry of the quilt and adds alot of texture to the design.
I say go for it.

This is called a 10 minute block but the woman who developed the technique says "you can roll the edges like a cathedral window which is my choice".
I think the block looks great either way, love your fabric colors.

Thanks for clearing that up! I was thinking about doing a cathedral window, so this technique may give me the look I like without having so many layers.
