paulettepoe 05-23-2012 05:47 AM

NanaCsews2 05-23-2012 06:09 AM

It is called Birthday Star Block. Here is the link I used to make a patriotic one for the Quilt of Valor quilt I am working on:

Wow, links to two great patterns, I love both of them, especially the Birthday Star, would love to make that in a scrappy quilt, with a common background fabric - maybe in batiks with a light batik bg? That list just keeps on getting longer and longer - I'm going to have to live to be about 150 IOT make half the projects I want to make!

ScrapQuilter 05-23-2012 07:03 AM

Glad you found your block and in the process the rest of us found a wonderful site for blocks........... Thanks

fivepaws 05-23-2012 07:28 AM

I love it, printed it from dreamcastles.com as suggested. Had not seen this site before so many thanks to the quilter as well as the finder.

piepatch 05-23-2012 07:41 AM

What a pretty and unique block.

EvelynJ 05-23-2012 04:42 PM

Great timing. This is perfect as my daughter is turning 6 tomorrow. I can make some of these for her and design a quilt top around them. I love the links. Amazing!

Heather Hayllar 05-24-2012 02:27 AM

I am sorry I have no idea, but it really is sweet

Love the paper pieced link, will have to try this block :)

Cindy60545 05-25-2012 04:13 AM

Thanks Woody for sharing that link, there's some interesting star blocks on that site.

MimiBug123 05-25-2012 10:32 AM

Try quilter's cache - Starry Path #2. If it isn't identical, it's pretty close. I think they maybe just used more colors.

Tartan 05-25-2012 10:37 AM

Great job Woody! That is indeed the star and there are some great other blocks on that site.

Marycumi 05-25-2012 12:55 PM

quiltme123 05-25-2012 06:50 PM
