Help with quilting design on a round robin

3 Attachment(s)
I did a round robin in my quilt group that was nearly two years ago and finally finished my last round for my daughter. I want to finish this for the fair. I have run into some issues on quilting it though.
What I do know:
1. On the paisley green and orange flowers in corners, I am going to do the same design motiff down with molar feathers and leaves.
2. I think coming out of the center on the orange and yellow before the green do paisley molar feathers and leaves on vines.
3. On the pebble borders around the center area after the yellow the tiny border do pebbles for sure.
4. On the outside yellow, yellow/orange, orange, and the red tiny borders, do rope to set each apart as a frame.
5. Outer border need to do something simple on the background red with dots fabric because not going to see much.
6. Doing a near solid on backing with an orange/copper thread to show all the quilting.

Don't Know and Nee help
1. The center. The block is the same as the four corners so whatever I do in center I will do to outside.
2. The friendship star round not sure what to do in each of those and larger areas. Stars just don't seem to belong in the quilting.
3. On the light green towards center area, what to do there. Should it be just lines like a fence?
4. On the yellow background behind the applique, do you think that leaf vines and molar feathers, making real small of course, would be nice?
5. In outside stars, putting molar feathers inside the center filling the space with tendrils on the star points work?

Please let me know what you think.

I'm no help with quilting but it is a beautiful quilt. I've never heard of 'molar feathers'. What are they? Good luck with the quilting ~ I'm sure it will be great!

This is stunning! And yes, I happen to agree with what you're thinking. On the "Friendship Stars", I think I'd do some sort of swirl that made them look like they were spinning (does that make sense?). Amd I think in the center, I'd just do some echo quilting to really make it pop. Please post again when you're done quilting this beauty!

I learned them this last weekend. Love how they look kind of leafy or like a petal.

well here my thought. I love the quilt. There is alot to take in. . I would simply mirandering. Is the designs you are thinking about doing show after all that work? Sometimes quilters over do a quilt and their fantastic work doesn't enhance or show on the quilt. Good luck at the fair. I can't enter do to I teach and do quilt making for a living. Do you have a professional catagory at your fair? I can enter in the antique catagory but nothing I have made. Let me know what you decide to do. You did a wonderful job on my dq. Can't wait to se what you have done.

I am going to use an orange varigated and a yellow and an orange/purple varigated thread along with different shades of orange in each section so all the quiltinging except in the little dot fabric is more than likely going to show. It definitely will on back.

I like the idea of varigated thread. Detailed quilting willbe nice. Please post when you are finished. Mother liked the quilt top very much. Looks very nicely done for being a round robin. Do you pass the quilt around?

This one was passed between two of us. Thanks for the compliment, especially from your mother. I still have not finished figuring out how to quilt it, but I need to get r done.

I don't have advice, but it sure is a beauty!
