It looks like its about the size of a baby quilt? What are you going to use if for? If you want a lap quilt I would add more fabric. If you don't have enough of what you've already used you could pull out another color?

i was thinking to make it a double bed size I have stacks of material just not much more of what I have used, or just finish it of and have it as a quilt to put on the couch
thought I might give it to my DD

Guess I'm tired.on a closer look I see it is laying on top of another quilt. I would add more borders.

thats ok I should have laid it out on a white sheet

Lots of nice shades to pull out in more borders- go for it!

Since you have a dark burgundy border, try the next border a bit wider in a light blue! Then white maybe after that. Bind in black.

You could use more scraps to make blocks, add those to your red boarder, then put another solid boarder around it. That may make it the size you want.

You could leave it as is, or pick a couple of colors from the center and add some sashing strips to extend it. I like adding a 1" strip around and then adding wider bands as necessary to increase its size. Since it is scrappy you have a wide open field for color choice. Just audition strips, and stand back and see what you think. This is where my young granddaughters come in, they love giving their input.

Why don't you make a scrappy border? sew your left overs together. I have done this and the result are great. I do a lot of scrappy quilts. And the "quilt police", (I see), is looking very hard to find something wrong with this one.

Ditto on that! It needs to have some more blocks around it to cover the top of the bed and then start adding borders to make it the size you want it! I like to have my design cover the bed(usually the size of the mattress) and the borders fall over the edge of the bed. Since you said you have more scraps you could use these. Keep us posted. You have a good start on the center panel already.

That sure is pretty. I would add a couple more borders to bring it up to size. I love the fabric inspector.

Your kitty is adorable. =) I'd pull out some of the colors from that floral to do some additional borders, if you need to get it larger. No reason why you couldn't do a wide scrappy border then another narrow plain border before binding. I think it would look good!
