I am working on a wedding ring quilt and here is my first try is the corners right at the dark green they look like they are over to far.

check the seam allowance where you sewed the melon to the pieced arch

The bottom part look right on, I think it is just the botton arch sewed to the melon. You may have to clip the seam allowance to get it to stretch a little so you can make the curve.

Kimbee, I think it would be ok...just needed a little adjustment on the top section. And it would be beautiful when finished.
May just set it back for a few months and work on something easier, then try again. I hope you do abandon the project though.
