Here Comes More Minis!!!

These 6 were fun to do! Have been wanting to do a floral one for the longest time! The most interesting one was the Sunbonnet Sue or I should say challenging. The blocks I laid out for it were leftovers and too small so in trying to do bigger blocks, I found I didn't even have 2" of fabric left for 3/4 of the quilt! So the replacement fabrics seemed close enough to the original plan and that's how it got its name "Close Enough." haha. See how important just 2" of fabric is?? The SS was a purchased applique but her feet weren't big enough so I made them bigger. She was HA and HQ as were most of the minis. These are for AAQI. I'll be doing a few more before sending all of them off. Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy my minis like I do!! Yes, if I don't give them away first like I usually do. Here's the link where you can read about it and maybe contribute sometime: http://www.alzquilts.org/ Thank you so much, adnil!!! :)

I especially love the SBS--it's so vintage looking and the one with the candy canes. I definitely want to try something mini.

Wow , I like them all, good job.

Can I ask that when you photograph your minis for this board that you lay a nickel or a quarter on them so that we can get perspective as to how "mini" they really are? I've seen this done in the past and have just been amazed! Keep up the good work. I like what you do!

The SBS sure is old! It's from my DM's estate as I'm trying to use some things up she purchased a long time ago, probably 40 years old! Yes, Candy Cane Lane is great too! Need more practice with landscapes, but so fun to try! Well, margee, you'll have to give it a try! Let me know if you'd like patterns! The Whirligig I made my own pattern for and can be found by clicking on my latest threads. Hope you are inspired and we look forward to your posts on minis! Thank you!!:)

Great suggestion, Pinkiris!! I ALWAYS forget to do that!! When I remember though, I usually put a quarter or chop stick, or postage stamp on the mini. The largest mini in this group is 7" and smallest is 5x5. Let me know which one you want to see and I'll take a pic for you with a coin! The SBS blocks, original plan, HST's finished at 1/2"!!!! But they were too small so I redid them to finish at 1.5"!!!! Thanks again!! Good point!! :)

Thanks everyone so much for your nice comments! :):)!
