B-10, Jud's Trophy

I pieced the little cross in the middle instead of applique. Itty bitty triangles!

B-11, Melissa's Cross

I redrafted this block, I wasn't really happy with the one in Brenda's book. To me it just didn't represent what Jane did.

B-12, Starflower

I pieced this instead of applique. My curves must not have been exactly right, because the block was just a tad bit puffy in the middle. But it pressed out fine, so I'm not going to redo it.

Of course, on Jane's quilt, this is a piece of cheater cloth. Here it is with a bluebonnet center, a bow to my state (Texas) flower. On to Row C!

I am intriqued to see your posts as you go along. I like the first block. That is the way I feel when I try to quilt, all out of sync; but it's so interesting. I'll be eagerly waiting to see your additions and the ultimate completed top. Good luck!

OMG, I have been going through the pages and looking at all your blocks, which look great. Then having never heard or seen a "Dear Jane" viewed the website: http://thatquilt.blogspot.com/2009/01/10.html given on page 3 given by gailinva. I now see what you have gotten yourself into. This is quite an undertaking; I wish you health, luck, and patience!

Here is the beginning of Row C.

C-2, Streak of Lightning

This block was difficult to get straight. Of course, I'm hand piecing, using paper, pencil, scissors, needle and thread, just as Jane would have. It is a fun experiment.

C-3, Rayelle's Fence

Whoever the heck Rayelle is.

C-4, Tic Tac Toe

This was an enjoyable block, but difficult to hand piece all those itty bitty pieces and get them straight. I finally accepted the block the way it is, instead of strive for perfection.
