This past week, my granddaughter stayed with me and made a quilt for herself, with my guidance. I told her that I would make her a pillowcase to match the quilt, from the scraps, and I finally got to it tonight, so here is the result. One side is the scrappy quilt pieces, to act like a sham, and the back side is a piece of one of the fabrics, that she can actually sleep on. Sure hope that she likes it. No pattern to the pieced side, just kept laying them out, till I got the effect I wanted.
Here she is with her quilt over the balcony railing This is the back side of the pillowcase for sleeping on This is the front, to look like a sham |
Her quilt is great, as is the pillow case

I joked with her, that when I die, someone better get the quilting bug, because I sure have a lot of fabric sitting around. She just laughed. |

She looks very pleased with herself. Kids need us to help them do the things that they don't have the time to do at home. Pretty quilt and pillowcase.
