Experimenting with the crazy quilt concept. Sometimes I'm disappointed with the similarities of my shapes and I have to work on tweaking how I do it. Usually, when I really like how it ends up, it's purely by accident. Maybe some of you recognize some scraps! Thank you all who sent to me, I am really enjoying this and I couldn't be having such fun without your generosity and help!

these are just great! you're being a pro in no time.
They look great! Make more!
Looks great! Keep going!
Those look great! I tried that once and it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. Good job.
Oh boy! I can't wait to see this one finished, I really like what you've done so far!
Those look great! And I recognize a scrap or two!

Looking good.. sometimes even when a patch doesnt look good on its own once you put it together with all the others it sings!
Love your scrap blocks. Look forward to seeing finished product. :-)
Very nice. Great job. Can't wait to see it when it is done.
I think they are all super - what size is your finished block, and how are you going to set them?
great job. :D
Ooo--that will be very pretty!! Making the blocks looks like great fun!
great job, love all the colors
Those are really cute -- looks good to me!!
I love scrap quilts, want to see the finished quilt as soon as you can do it.
They are looking good........
How are you going to put them together?????? Black Sashing????? Scrap |
Have you finished yet????
Want to see the rest of them   |
I'm partial to using black borders & sashing, alternated with colored ones.
I like crazy quilts and I know that they are not an easy quilt to make...I too end up with blocks that are just "similar"...:) I like yours so much...congrats!
Very pretty. I think your doing great.
I think that would probably compliment it, good idea, thanks!
Those are great. I think it's much harder than it looks - getting fabrics to go together, yet look scrappy. You're doing great work - keep it up. Post your progress so we can all enjoy it!
Very nice!! Keep up the great work!
I like them very much. Great job.
Awesome blocks!!! :D :D :D
I am with Jackie I made some for a swap one time and they are very hard to figure out especially the first few. Yours look great.
those are great blocks, wannabe! :D
Love 'em....can't wait to see the finished product. Don't give up and let your creativity run free.
Very nice! I have trouble becasue I keep rejecting the pieces until I get one that "looks right". When I look at flower grdens, I love them all. why can't I just put fabrics together and let it go? :?
As I have said before I LOVE SCRAPPY! Your blocks are looking great and not similar at all  What size are you making your blocks? Look forward to seeing your progress.
LOOKING FANTASTIC kiddo. Keep up the good work.
I just joined but I love your blocks - they are great! I love scrappy quilts!

Thanks to all for looking/commenting. I will post more as I make them. I think this works for me because I don't feel the need to scrutinize, or have it "turn out" the way it's "supposed" to. I do "eye up" my scrap choices a little bit, and however they turn out, well - that's the way it was "supposed" to be. : )
Scrappy is my favorite...I use a 6.5 in. square template (just like Bevanger shows in her Scrappy/Wonky tutorial, check it out) after I sew on all the pieces.

You did GREAT!
And, you are ahead of the crazy, scrappy game ... well, at least ahead of me! You have figured out a size to make to, rather than just keep adding pieces! LOL Good job. The basics to piecing a quilt is sewing a consistent, straight seam. You are getting the best practice one can possibly get. GOOD JOB! |
