Hexagon Quilt-

My daughter April came up to quilt with me last night so I desided to start this quilt. Works up pretty fast & very easy. Doing this one scrappy Civil War.

That is going to look so cool when you are done. Your choice of using CW repros will definitely give that quilt a vintage feel for the era! Great way to do hexis too, with no set in seams and again your fabric choices were perfect because they quite efficiently hide that center seam in the hexi.

Thanks so much, it will be a big quilt 90 by???

QuiltnNan 05-03-2013 10:11 AM

Very nice. Definitely has an old feel to it.

oksewglad 05-03-2013 03:43 PM

I didn't notice the seams across each one until feline fanatic mentioned it! Keep at this and this will turn out great!

I have one started too. But mine is going around and around. I hope both of ours look just great when we finish them.

good work! I hope you will share it when it is finished. I've made a couple of those. I really liked doing it too. (Mine were arranged in a Field of diamonds pattern.)

I could add that one to my ever lengthening list....sigh

buddy'smom 05-04-2013 02:27 PM

Well it does go together fast. Didn't work on it today, went to a quilt show and my legs are killing me.

tlambing 05-04-2013 02:48 PM

I'm just starting one too. My daughter works for a company named The Honey Agency. The entire motif is Bee themed. I saw this pattern and thought it'd fit in really well. Thanks for sharing your quilt, now I have inspiration!!!!

buddy'smom 05-05-2013 03:48 AM

Thank you, I'm using the half square hex and goes together fast. It works row by row and you cut the half hex in hafe and have the piece's for the end of the row.
