The directions aren't extremely clear, but if you don't mind guessing a bit this is a quick project that - I think - looks really cool!

It was VERY EASY until I got to binding the corners that are not right angles. Made it though and will certainly do it again.

After Christmas last year I picked up Christmas fabric everywhere I found it cheap - the snowmen are from Walmart, but I'm not sure where the snowflake is from - it's a Moda print. I finally have enough of a stash to make small projects totally from what I have on hand.

A large scale focus fabric that is not directional would be easier to work with.

Just lovely.....very pretty fabric. Sometimes I find seasonal fabric a bit "too much", yours is seasonal without being OTT.

What an adorable little table topper!! Love anything blue.

I made these too, for Thanksgiving, but I skipped the binding. I sewed them right sides together, left an opening, and turn them right sides out. Then I stitched around the edges with a decorative stitch about a half inch in to give them an appearance of binding. They were so easy, I'm making more for Christmas!

Love it. Want to make some of these and some table runners, but probably not this Christmas.

Thank you for sharing and giving us some good ideas on how to use hexagons.

That is a great idea. I did it with some mug rugs as well. Thanks for the reminder.

I see your point, but the link for youtube she posted, calls it a hexagon too. Does make one wonder, doesn't it!

Nice job too, very cute!..

This is too funny because I had the topic typed in as "Octagon" then checked the tute link and saw she had hexagon so I changed it. Then thought about it - knowing I counted sides and corners as I sewed and ... oh well! Wondered how many posts it would take before someone mentioned it. :)

I plan on using that pattern. I do have the pattern. Any holiday material would work.
