Hexie fun

I was working on my diamond hexie quilt and decided to see how small I could go with hexies. :) So here is my experiment.
My diamond is made up of hexies that measure 3/4 inch on a side. The next smallest flower is 1/2 inch on a side and the smallest flower is 3/8 inch on a side. Hexagons are measured by the length of one of the sides. I had some 1/4 hexies cut but that was just too small. My fingers were just too big!1 :) The second picture is of my progress on my diamond hexie quilt. Out of my comfort zone with modern fabrics and black and white path. Enjoy. |
yikes! and I thought paper piecing was itty bitty work. Your diamonds look great!

The smallest I ever attempted was 3/4" on a side. YIKES, I prefer working using 1" side. Easier on the fingers. Think I might try at go at the diamond pattern. THANKS for posting
