Hexie quilt in progress

1 Attachment(s)
This is one hexie triangle of the many that I will need to complete my grandsons quilt. It will be all homespuns with no border around the triangles. All of the fill in edge blocks are done, and 12 of these triangles. The hexies are 1 5/8, so a pretty good size block!

I really like that. The colors are very nice.

Looks great!

It looks great! I always wanted to do a GM Flower Garden until I saw the hexies in this layout. If I ever do one this will be the layout I use.

Nice work! Doubt that I'll ever do a hexie quilt but I sure do like this combination of colors and fabrics.

Sondi 05-30-2014 09:23 AM

I have a UFO hexie quilt. You inspired me to finish it! Great job.

Your fabric choices are great! Every time I see a hexie quilt I change my mind about what I want to make. That will be a beautiful quilt.

My grandmother use to call that pattern Field Of Diamonds I like it a lot and the original Flower Garden Very Pretty

keeperof4leggers.....no fabric line, all scraps and all done by hand. Trenten is very artistic and he may quilt his own quilt when it is finished. He loves to run the long arm!

llong0233 06-01-2014 07:56 AM

Very nice, but......that's a parallelogram, not a triangle! It's beautiful, in fact and your stitching is flawless. Your grandson will have an heir loom to be proud of.

Geri B 06-01-2014 10:11 AM

Good idea for all the deboned men's shirts I have.....great idea...looks cool so far!
