I think I got him hooked! He picked scraps form the quilt store bin and put this one together. PS. Check the next page for picture...Thanks again to Patrice. :-)

May I ask who "he" is? :?: Whoever he is, it's a very comforting looking quilt.

Yes . He just turned 13 this last December. He did this one a couple of years ago.

He did an excellent job on this quilt. You both should be very proud on how it came out

rvquilter 04-21-2007 07:52 PM

I'm impressed. I thought my 18 year old was the only young man that quilted. It is very nice. I could use it for the couch in my trailer. Want my addy? LOL :D

SandraJennings 04-21-2007 07:54 PM

you'd have a hard time making him part with it....He's pretty partial to it. With good reason ...I thought he did a great job...He spent his allowance to have it quilted. The thread is very colorful against the yellow background.

rvquilter 04-21-2007 07:56 PM

He did an excellent job and I was just kidding. You should keep your first and second one at least. :D

SandraJennings 04-21-2007 08:00 PM

oh I know!!! I doubt if he will part with any he makes....well not just yet anyway....

rvquilter 04-21-2007 08:05 PM

My son won't either. As a matter of fact he wants to keep all the ones I make too which is funny because they are wall hangings and he is soon to not have a wall. LOL He is off to college in the fall and will be staying in the dorms. I am not sure the other college kids would like their walls covered in my wall hangings. :D

susan s. 04-22-2007 05:29 AM

It is beautiful! I wouldn't blame him for not wanting to part with it!

SandraJennings 04-22-2007 08:54 AM

Thank you , I will let him know how all of you feel. And as for the one going off to college....you may find yourself permanently employed in making more for the rest of the ones in the dorm. Make sure you leave room for the orders.LOL

MaryL 04-29-2007 08:42 AM

Very nice!

mimisharon 04-29-2007 09:22 AM

How wonderful! Will he take orders? that is absolutely what I can't wait to teach my youngest grand, when she gets back from Alaska in about 3 years. My grandson will not even try cause it's not macho man stuff! His dad and papa have really done him no favors.

and I thought that went out when Rosie Grier took up needlepoint! What about Ricky Tims and Joe Cunningham? not to mention several others as yet unheralded....why even our own Tim! I know there are still those who prefer the more "hard" craftworks of steel and metal and such.....that's ok too. But what a deal to cuddle up and be worm under your own handiwork.

You give me too much credit, just ask Patrice.

And be aware, the sewing machine isn't my only power tool. I do have a full blown wood shop, have been known to wrench on cars and vans, have a complete darkroom set up for multiple format film developing and printing, can make anything I want electronically, given a little time, and do some serious cooking.

Which of these do I prefer? Yes.

as long as we keep giving you credit, you'll always be in our debt.

exactly! A well rounded individual is not confined to only the female world....many applause for all you do. Have ventured myself beyond the borders of the distaff side....live life.....fully.
