:-D :-D :-D This is what I have so far and I want to put some waves around the borders. There is a fish I FMQ on the black diamonds around the quilt. Each fish is a diffrent color. So here is a picture of it now and maybe later I'll post again with some waves on the borders. There is a close up of the fish I put on it. I'm kicing myself because I was going ot put a pocket on the back for a cardbord so it would hang flat, but I forgot to. Grr,,, Enjoy it any ways, Huggies, Fay
My idea of an octagonal shaped quilt Close up of one of the fish |
What a great looking quilt!!! I like it!
Wow, I like it a lot.
It looks cute & why can't you add your ½ pocket on the back now just before you add your binding? That's what I did with mine that was that shape.
I could,, but I birthed it, but I should be able to hand sew one on or just put it on the back of the couch or just lay it on the bed in the middle for show. Thanks for the nice complments, Huggies, Fay

What a great idea, I love it.
Stunning!
That is wonderful great job

Wowzers! I love it. But I really think you should hang it on a wall so you can see the full 3D effect of the cubes. How about making some little corner pockets for the top point and the points either side then inserting two dowel rods in kind of a V shape. You could then hang it from the one hook. If it wouldn't hang striaght, you could put a pocket at each corner then dowels all around like a frame. Hope I've explained that OK.

great quilt.Love the pattern

So unusual and very pretty. I love it.
I love it! I agree with k3n, work on finding ways to hang it. It deserves to be up on a wall where it can be seen well.
I really like this one. You did a great job.
An octogon has 8 sides, I only see 6. I love how you finished thoseblocks. You didn't need more of them, it's great1

Very pretty

I agree an octagon has 8 sides and this has 6. Sorry, but yes I think it should be on the wall. Maybe I can create some kind of a frame made with dowels or some thing of such. I want ot put the waves on the border and such so will work on it later today. Have a great day, Huggies, Fay

Very cool!
great quilt!! you can always add sleeves on the top and the sides for wooden inserts now. just make the side ones closed on the bottom ends and open at the top ends to slip the wooden dowels into. when on the wall the quilt will lay flat.
Very unique quilt! Great job!
Likey, likey!
Love this quilt, was it hard to do?

:-D :-D :-D It's not a hard one to do if you know how to do the 'Y' seams. I made a wave design on plastic template material so later today I will try it. Going to put it on the borders. Have a great day, Huggies, Fay |
