Like, I was gonna say wider on each end, but now I notice the you have a straight rod and not a curved rod, so just the way it is, is fine, good sewing also...:)

I don't understand why you think it needs to be wider. It goes past the window already. Maybe a shorter curtain rod but the valance is great.

I like as is. Just move your clamps on the wall in closer and no one will think it is too short.

great idea---it is striking I would have completed the stars on both ends which would have made it wide enough and I think you should leave some white at the top and add a black (or whatever color the stars are) strip across the top to give it a real finished look. Just a suggestion Great job

You could just add some white fabric to the sides. As of length, I think it depend son the length of your window. I love the pattern and the way it is made. Great idea.

After looking again, can you bring the rod in a little on each side? From the picture it looks as if that might be easier than adding material to the sides.

Honestly, I think it's great! Very chic, and will go with very modern or vintage equally well. Hmmmm..........I am planning to do Roman shades for my bedroom, and I like your valance better than a pleated one.
