Honey's quilt
4 Attachment(s)
I just finished this quilt for my beloved Aunt Honey, who lost both her husband and her mother within a few months of each other. I started with the Mariner's Compass, in honor of my late uncle, whose proudest accomplishment was serving in the Navy in WWII. I then built the quilt around it, row by row, using Kaffe Fassett prints almost exclusively. The last picture is the pieced back.
I tried to make it very cheerful and 'sunny.' I think this quilt is my best work to date and am very happy with how it turned out. Thanks for looking! I haven't posted in a while. |
Your quilt is beautiful. She is sure to love it and you for your loving kindness to her.

What a beautiful quilt. I love the design, the mariners compass in the middle surrounded by all those colorful pinwheels. The colors are so bright and cheery, and I hope it adds some warmth to your Aunts bedroom.
