Honorable Mention

My quilt, Grand Old Stars, earned an Honorable Mention ribbon at the 42st Annual Smoky Mountain Quilters Quilt Show & Competition last week.
The center medallion was made with orphan blocks from a previous patriotic quilt. I had quite a bit of fabric left over from the previous quilt so I kept adding rows until it became this 85" x 85" monster. Happy Independence Day! |
I’ve been to the quilt show in the past and there were many beautiful quilts. Be proud of your quilt. It’s beautiful and very deserving of a reward.

Beautiful quilt! Congratulations. I especially like the triangles that are half dark. Each detail adds so much! And your beautiful work makes it worth that award.

Congratulations! I think you’ve done excellent on your quilt! Happy 4th to you, too!
