I've taken almost the opposite approach with the ones I've done recently here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...e-t215558.html and here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...e-t209642.html ) . I did mine on one single piece of fabric and relied on the stitching to make the design.

I was really interested in what you had to say about the fusible and the thickness of the seams. I've seen instructions for that method and have been thinking about trying it but have been afraid it might be kind of stiff.

I think you did a FABULOUS job on this piece and hope all your work is appreciated properly by the recipient!

OMG that is absolutely amazing!!! So you did two, one pink and one green?

I think you did a wonderful job, it looks like the photo to me. Don't worry about the angle of the horse's back, it does not take away from the overall effect. You are to be commended on your ability to create this from a photo and get the nuances of the shading accurate using fabric.
