I just finished this quilt top and asking the talented and creative beings on this board for help in deciding how to quilt this. I am open to all ideas. The pattern is called Afternoon Delight by Grizzly Gulch and went together quickly but now I am stumped.

Help!

Thank you. :?

Just a meander would be nice. A panto all over would be nice too. Nice points and I love the colors together.

When I make a top that's all geometric shapes like yours is, I generally quilt it with curves/loops. It helps to soften it...I can't think of the word.

I love those fabrics! And you did a fabulous job putting it together...Sorry, I can't image any quilting pattern that wouldn't be pretty....

What sort of setup are you working with? Are you comfortable with FMQ? Do you want to experiment with more than STD? Domestic machine, mid-arm, or longarm?

So many answers, none of them wrong. Think about how you envision the end, and how you can get there.

I don't always reach the (envisioned) end game, but I learn so much on the way ;-)

Yeah, I know. Not helpful, but it's true.

A nice meander would be great. I love the quilt.

Thank you all... I like the idea of all over meandering or loops. I read somewhere that this "softens the line" of the quilt. I will post the finished productfor you to see how your suggestions panned out. Thanks again !!!

I have a long arm (HQ 16) which is good because this is a queen sized quilt and would be too bulky on my dsm

I see flowers and paisleys in your border print. Why not use those images to quilt it? It looks as though the flowers would be nice in the solid blocks and the simple paisley could be used to make a templet to fill the stars. One regular and one flipped matching them up in the middle of each of the star point quarter looks like it would fit.

Lovely quilt by the way. Pretty colors for fall.

love paisleys... very eye appealing

Meander. It is beautiful on its own.

Do you do pantos with your HQ16? A panto overall would look nice. I just finished a quilt with large framed squares and used a panto called, "Plumage" from Willowleaf Studio. Turned out really nice.

I have not done any pantos yet but I have use groovy boards. I am going to check out that pattern anyway. Thanks for the input!

That's beautiful -- I love that paisly border fabric. I would go with an overall stipple or meander. Not too small though.
