...plus a few other scraps. :D For those who read the 'Input Please gray or black thread' post I did the second bag with a variegated thread. It goes black to gray. The thead is also a heavier 12 wt. I like the way it turned out. There was just something about the black thread in the first purse that didn't wow me.

Hope you like the bags.

I like that pattern. What is it called or did you make the bag from your own creation. If you didn't would you mind letting me know the name of that pattern?

I have been trying to find just the right bag. Ideas for Christmas gifts and that one looks so nice.

Mind sharing?

Barb

Oh my, I do love it. Here is my address. :-)

sewsewquilter 08-06-2009 06:56 AM

Sorry MNQuilter and jamsbuying, they have a home. They are going to be hostess gifts. I am traveling with a girlfriend to Zurich Switzerland and Munich Germany to visit her girlfriends. Yipee no hotel cost. I hope they like them. We leave next week for 2 weeks.

Stiching4Fun the pattern is Wave Purse or Tote pattern by Laura Denison Designs. I was going to make them for Christmas to until I saw the Sweet Treat bag on the Moda website. I can make the Sweet Treat bag quicker. :-) They are also smaller. I have made all the important people the Wave bag, My mom, her friend (who is also my sister-in-laws mother), and me. :D Everyone else is going to wait awhile longer.

What a beautiful bag! Man, I never would have thought to use those colors. I love the pattern too. Who is that one by?
Bags are the most fun to make, aren't they? You have this down to an art!! Love it!!

Edited to tell you ...

I am about to make one that I got at the local quilt show a couple weeks ago. It is called Bali Bags, by Aunties Two. A closeline covered tote bag.

Iluv2quilt 08-06-2009 09:09 AM

It is sew easy to make (the moda bag) and nice size for a makeup bag. I'm going to make them even easier by using one piece of fabric instead of the honey buns. If I make one for every female on both sides of the family for Christmas I need 20 of them. :D

Thanks for your kind comment.

Shemjo 08-06-2009 05:38 PM

I printed it out and will try to get some made this weekend for some folks!
