I bought this at an estate sale yesterday. I thought it was precious. I did not have one as a child, but 2 of the ladies working the sale said they had one.

Adorable. No I was never lucky enough to have anything like it as a child.

That is so adorable. I had a regular size machine, but fancy like your little buddy.

I never had one, but remember that my cousin who lived just down the road from us did have a toy sewing machine. Can't remember if it was like this one or not. That was a lucky find.

I would love to have one like that. I didn't have much when I was growing up. That is so cute. Thanks for sharing with us.

My first sewing machine was my mother's treadle. That one is sure cute, though.
I wonder if it isn't just easier to teach kids to sew on a real machine.

That is adorable! I have a couple of toy machines and hope to put them in my sewing room someday.

Rose L 06-04-2011 02:46 AM

No, not a sewing machine but I had a toy iron that plugged in and got hot!

vic 06-04-2011 02:48 AM

I had "Little Red Spinning Wheel". Made horsey line. This must have been a precursor.

Nope, not me.

Tropical 06-04-2011 07:19 AM

I didn't have one either. I learned to sew on my Mom's treadle machine at a young age. :) I do know that I would have cherished my own machine though. :)

raedar63 06-04-2011 07:30 AM

I remember admiring them in the wish books at christmas, never had one though.

Murphy 06-04-2011 10:58 AM
