I made this baby quilt top and I am trying to figure out what design to quilt - I do have a longarm but I am still learning and have a hard time doing detailed patterns. So any ideas - I do have some panto's but I am not sure if I should stick to echo type quilting around all the blocks or a softer circle or curlique type design. Help....

Very nice, but I haven't a clue about the quilting design. I am just on my first quilt top!

This is so pretty. I want to try that pattern --someday.

I think that a pattern that starts in the middle and extends out to the sides would be good. It would give added motion to your great quilt.

Have you thought of using different fillers in different areas...ala the freemotionquilting.blogspot hosted by Leah Day?

Your top is beautiful I think a soft curly design would compliment the angular piecing. Something to think about is that detailed quilting won't show up on the top if your fabrics are busy. Detailed quilting on the white areas will stand out, but against the floral the quilting will be difficult to see. Just a thought.

Great idea - gives me more to think about.
