Nothing to offer about the quilting. Everyone has great ideas!
Just wanted to comment on your work... beautiful. What a wonderful gift! |
Beautiful quilt! I would outline quilt the individual stars and then do hearts in the center squares.
|
I think I would echo quilt the stars and then quilt a design in the big blocks. Your quilt turned out great!!

Beautiful quilt! After stabilizing the quilt the world is your oyster! You can quilt simple large flowers in the white centers or go fancy and do circled feathers. Go to google images and look up flower coloring pages for example. there are so many beautiful images that you can reduce or enlarge to your size block then copy as many as you need and pin in place and sew right over the lines with your DSM. Practice first on scrap fabric with batting if you have not done this before. You can look up just about any image you desire in coloring pages. Good Luck and I would love to see your quilt when you quilted it!

What a pretty quilt you have made!
As suggested, SITD around the stars for your first step. Then ... Being that it's a wedding gift ... in the white space, how about a heart? Outline it and leave as is, or do echo quilting ... or outline and stipple outside the star. The quilt is really pretty and whatever you decide it will only add to it. |
That is a beautiful quilt can't wait to see the quilting done I love scrappy quilts!!!

Beautiful. I also would like the pattern name please. Like the idea of the hearts. I am no help as I have only done a simple grid and SID. Be sure to show us the finished quilt. BrendaK

If you can not do feathers, how about a diagonal grid? It is beautiful!

That is a very pretty quilt, but I will leave it up to the experts to give you the tips on the quilting. Thanks for sharing.

I was thinking hearts too. Maybe 4 in the large white square all pointed into the middle.
