Just finished this and am glad how it turned out, but I have no idea how to quilt it. I will be doing it on my home sewing machine. Any suggestions?

Mary

I bet a stitch in the ditch would look amazing with this one. :)

That is a gorgeous quilt.

If you don't want to stitch in ditch, how about in the center of all the black? Beautiful quilt.

I dont think you would want to do a meandering (sp) it would change the effect. I learned the hard way on an attic windows quilt, it stopped the 3d effect.

I wouldn't stich in the ditch but I would pick a line (or lines) and stich 1/4 off the ditch. That way you can appreciate the look, and all the hard work of quilting it. This quilt, to me is very modern looking and stiching out of the ditch is a more modern look.

Beautiful quilt, I really like it. I think I would stitch inside all the black 1/4 inch from the seam

A diamond pattern is fairly easy to accomplish using masking tape. (If you want 2" line separation you can use 2" masking tape). The blue contractor's tape works well and doesn't leave debris. Just put your tape on the quilt going all one direction. Sew next to the tape, then put the tape on the other direction and sew to make your diamonds. :-)

I would put the same design in each of the same colored pieces or I would do a grey thread overall that would not even show up. It really can stand on it's own.

It is so sharp. I really enjoyed seeing this quilt

That's a great way to do that design. Thanks for the info.

It looks awesome..love the colors!

I would do something with curves. Whenever you have straight lines, you should use curves.

OH fabulous quilt! And my husband wonders why I use so much color ink in my printer - I print off these wonderful quilts and put in my "to do" folder!

Audition circles and see how they would look.

I agree with the ditch-in-the-ditch that would raise the blocks up, an Eye catcher.. love the pattern and colors
