How should I quilt this valour top?

Here is another top that has remained unfinished because I just can't figure out how I should quilt it. Since it is made from valour, any stitching will probably be lost in the front side. But, will show up in the backing.
How would you quilt it? |
I read the other day that a person did a wiggly line on the angle from corner to corner...
that sounded good to me then you would not have to worry about stitch in the ditch.... |
Very pretty! Like the inverted placement of Trip Around the World. Is that also called something else?
Let me preface this with the disclaimer that I only do very simple minimal quilting... So what I would do is squiggly diagonal V shaped lines following the pattern. |
I think I would straight ditch down the center of the squares following the design. that way you could avoid stitching over most of the seams and you would have a nice v designs on the back. I think trying any thing more intricate may be difficult to keep your stitching good over the different thicknesses?

hey neighbor! glad to see you survived the fish fry! i think i would wait until you get your long arm and then i would practice continuous curves. if you used hi-loft you would end up with a million pillows in it and it would look all puffy. and since there are a 'few' squares here, you know the old saying, 'practice makes perfect!' however you decide, it will look great!

Actually I think quilting will really pop on velour. Especially if done with a high loft poofy batting.
I think an end to end panto will work really well on this top. It will be a wonderful practice top when you get your LA. |
I would do an all over with curves ... baptist fan would look nice, or any panto with curves.

Just terrific, great job and thank you for sharing, I have no idea but love the quilt.
Have a Blessed night Ellen |
