Much to my surprise - My daughter kept all the boys pyjamas, housecoats and boxers since they were babies, then presented them to me, 3 large garbage bags full, when she realized that I was now quilting. I washed them, then proceeded to take them all apart, there were about 60 items. I cut them all into rectangles, squares and whatever pieces I could salvage. These are rough fellows, so had lots of holes and tears to contend with. I made all the boys quilts from this stack of flannel - the grandsons didn't know until I gave them each a quilt and they recognized the materials - they were amazed and delighted, as was I that it worked out with enough for all 3 boys - two of the quilts were the same.

They are fantastic....what a great idea. I am sure the boys will treasure them. Love the way you have put the fabrics together.

Well done navigating the holes and worn spots...that's the most trying part of all.
