As you can see this "going to be" quilt has 10 sides. What do you suggest as to how I should finish it. Leave it as is or add fabric to square it up?
Thanks for your ideas.

Wow - what a beauty! I'd leave the all the edges and bind as it is!

fsmcm 02-03-2011 07:44 PM

It's beautiful. I would leave it as it is, 10-sided.

bj 02-03-2011 07:45 PM

That is beautiful, I'd probably want it to be squared up for myself, but I wouldn't know where to begin doing it :-D :-D !

erstan947 02-03-2011 07:45 PM

I'm no help, but as is, it looks like it would fit my round table just fine:) Very nice.

Carron 02-03-2011 07:48 PM

Thank you all for your comments! Had not thought of it as a table topper, good idea.

cjomomma 02-03-2011 07:57 PM

I would it as is. I would be afraid squaring it up might take the beauty away from it.

winter012 02-03-2011 08:04 PM

As lovely as your quilt is in it's round form, I would square it off for a bed quilt. It is an awesome quilt as it is, however!!!!

littlehud 02-03-2011 08:06 PM

I love it just as is for a table topper. If I was going to use it as a quilt I would square it off

Hobbyhorse1027 02-03-2011 08:15 PM

Its beautiful and unique.

Beautiful pattern and fabric choices How big is it? I think the size would help to decide what to do.

irishrose 02-03-2011 08:35 PM

It's beautiful. What is the pattern?

quiltingaz 02-03-2011 08:36 PM

I would leave it as it is. Love the colors

Ramona Byrd 02-03-2011 08:44 PM

That would be fantastic for special guests to cuddle up in when they come and watch TV with you.

Or as a table topper. I wouldn't square it off, that would take away lots of the beauty of it.

Real good job on this one.

caliquocat 02-03-2011 09:30 PM

You've done a great job piecing & love the colors. It looks so artistic just the way it is, maybe not for a bed.

akgranny 02-03-2011 09:55 PM

it's very nice just as it is!

BobbiSue 02-03-2011 09:57 PM

So would I! Very very nice!

KandiKane 02-03-2011 10:04 PM

That is just beautiful ,love the colors, I would leave at it is or make one more diamond round then the dark color ,, but thats my idea , either way..you did a great job ..

Love angels 02-03-2011 10:19 PM

I think it would make a beautiful quilt center. It's in my favorite color too so that helps me imagine it. LOL

Lynnie25 02-03-2011 10:30 PM

Oh my, that is simply stunning and in my colours too :) I would leave it as is and bind it, perfect for a tabletopper.

trisha 02-03-2011 10:33 PM

Most definitely leave as is!!!! Just lovely

EIQuilter 02-04-2011 06:09 AM

What's the intended use? If it's a wallhanging or table topper, I'd leave it as is - it's a very nice design. If it's bigger and you want to use it as a throw or something like that, I'd square it off.

Elisabrat 02-04-2011 06:24 AM

I would square it up with a dark fabric (ie your black in there) and it would make the design pop even more. Its very pretty, kind of reminds me of some of the Amish designs that are bold.

pvquilter 02-04-2011 06:26 AM

Beautiful. I would leave as is. It has nice flowing lines.

kso 02-04-2011 07:22 AM

What is the pattern and where did you find it?

nativetexan 02-04-2011 07:34 AM

as it is. i have a large table topper to finish and intend to put backing on the top and stitch, then turn right side out. very wary of trying to do binding on all those angles.

rosemaynes 02-04-2011 07:38 AM

WOW its beautiful, if that's all the bigger you want it... then I would just bind it. Or no binding at all and just sew the backing on right sides together and turn it out.

Jammin' Jane 06-01-2011 09:14 PM

Leave it as is and bind with dark purple.
It's beautiful!

akgranny 06-01-2011 09:20 PM
