I made this quilt, all hand pieced and will be hand quilting as well. I just can't decide what would be the best quilting pattern to use. Should I just quilt inside each strip? Or how about using the circle pattern starting in the middle of each diamond and working out? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think circles sound great.

your quilt is very pretty. I'd "soften the angles" and do something with a lot of curve to it.

I agree. When you have all of those straight lines your eye "wants" to see some curves.

I like using circles when quilting squares. As Theresa said, it "softens" the angles.

I agree with doing something curvy. You might consider an all over fan pattern or clam shells too.

What about something that looks likes a whirligig.

how about spirals in each - curvy but still goes with the theme of each block

It is so busy that I would do a swirly type meander.

Maybe send it to longarm quilter? lol

I like this idea, too. When I first look at your quilt, for a split second I see a bit of curving to it even though all the lines are straight! It's a great optical illusion!!! :thumbup: Love it!!! :wink:

I love the colors. I made one that is similar to yours only in Christmasy fabrics. It is still sitting on my quilt frame months later because like you I wasn't sure how to quilt it.
