What a wonderful labor of love for both of you. My mother had a friend like that when I was a teenager too. Helped me see past the nightmare of what my father wanted me to be. When my mother became ill and passed away, she stepped up and is a surrogate grandmother to my kids. Your quilt is amazing for a wonderful woman and I'm sure it will be loved.

I love your quilt and that you and mom were able to do it together what a special gift. The poem is perfect I'm sure she will cherish it and be moved to tears. It brought tears to my eyes.
