It looks beautiful.

YOur quilt is beautiful. A hunters star quilt is high up on my bucket list. I think Stonhenge is my favorite fabric line. I would love to have a fat quarter of all of them. I have about 10 or 15 FQ in my stash and I hate to cut into them because they are so pretty.

nabobw 01-19-2013 05:39 AM

very pretty

callen 01-19-2013 05:49 AM

I know what you mean. I just finished a Hunter's Star for my DD for Christmas & it did get quite boring but I perservered & finished it in time for gifting. Turned out beautiful but I was quite glad it was done. Really like yours too. I am now in the middle of making 2 Carpenter's Star quilts & I like them a lot. Easy process with very striking results. They are also for gifts - my sister (who is turning 65) & a dear friend & both of them have their birthday the same day on Valentines Day. Gotta get busy.

I have the Stonehedge FQ set. It's gorgeous.

This quilt is amazing, my husband's first thought upon seeing it was it looked like fallen leaves on the ground. He loves it.

Very nice, I know what you mean doing the same thing over and over again gets me board too, but in the end it looks good and glad to be finished.

You should post this in the stunning quilts topic!

Ive wanted to make this design for over a year. Not too thrilled to hear about you getting bored though. I'm also susceptible to boredom....

But the result sure looks great.

Thanks. It really wasn't THAT bad. To avoid boredom, make your blocks bigger or your quilt smaller! LOL

solstice3 01-19-2013 01:27 PM

Excellent...I see how you were tired when you finished the quilting....well worth it though

snownannie 01-19-2013 01:52 PM

WOW!!!! Beautiful!!!!!!

Deb watkins 01-19-2013 01:59 PM

Very nice! I love the colors, and the quilting really fits it. I have Deb Hunter's template but have just been too chicken to try one!

quiltingnonie 01-19-2013 02:17 PM

That is absolutely gorgeous! I am a huge fan of Stonehenge fabrics, and use them often. They also blend well with batiks.

MarieM 01-19-2013 02:39 PM

Love it and great job with the quilting.

Well, that's interesting. I didn't use any template. I just did squares and HSTs. Don't know if Deb Hunter's method would be easier or not. But, I didn't pay for a new tool!

Jaynie 01-19-2013 07:22 PM

I understand the "getting bored" part. Glad yo stuck with it, because you have a very beautiful quilt for you efforts. Good job!

Chris Anders 01-19-2013 07:39 PM

sewdamncute 01-19-2013 08:17 PM

Wow, your color choice and placement are great, throw in your quilting and it's fabulous! Glad you stuck with it!

heather1949 01-20-2013 01:12 AM

It looks beautiful.

BizzieLizzie 01-20-2013 02:32 AM

Congratulations on completing your quilt! I know what it's like when you get tired of the quilt you're making, that is probably why a lot of us have a number of UFOs lying about (possibly hidden) in cupboards or on shelves! :D You did a great job on this quilt and it looks absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for sharing. :)

ghquilter53 01-20-2013 04:12 AM

Just can't go wrong with blues and browns. The peachy color adds some pizazz. The hunter star quilt is still on my to do list.

ghquilter53 01-20-2013 04:15 AM

I purchased the templates too....a weak moment at Paducah when I was buying everything in sight. Hope they are worth it.
