Hunter's Star Top Done
3 Attachment(s)
I finally finished the top for one of my best friend's that I've been working on for a couple months. It's the biggest quilt I've made thus far and I'm actually very pleased with it. It's certainly not perfect but the fabric line turned out beautifully with the pattern. I also managed to get it sandwiched and glue/spray basted today. I used the Hunter's Star pattern from MSQC.

Love the colors! I’ve made a Hunter Star using Deb Tucker pattern so I was surprised when I looked at your closeups to see that it was made using HSTs . I’ll have to go on the MSQC site and check it out. You did a great job piecing this beauty!

Someone on the board, can't remember who, said Whittles had a sale and I went to the website and bought what they said was asian fabrics. When I received them they were "modern" asian so I used MSQC Hunter's star with these and even went online and found one of the fabrics for a border. I was fairly pleased with it; a lot of HST's and I've been burned out on those for a few years now. Sadly, I can't post pics anymore.

It turned out beautifully. Great colors.
|
You are doing a great job!

Thank you all for your kind words! I love the QB community for its positivity.

Congratulation on H/S, Michele, I just love that pattern. I had it stored up for four years in the paper-piece version and just recently completed it myself. I tried to get online for Jenny's version and just couldn't pull it up. I got it done I am gifting it to one of my DDs'. Let me say that yours is gorgeous and enjoy it.
Stay safe everyone cherryb |
I made the MSQC Hunter's Star as well. So easy. I just had to keep saying "Block 1 - block 1 - block 1" as I put the HST blocks together and look at the picture every time. Only had one block I had to pull apart. Love the colours/fabrics you used. It's gorgeous.
|
A real beauty for sure. She will enjoy using it.

A very beautiful quilt - and congratulations on the size achievement.

That's a pattern on my bucket list. Now that I know Jennie has a tutorial on it I just might put it to the top of my list.

I’m so excited. I posted pictures in the VQW for this month as well but here it is, all done. It’s in the wash now.

There’s a mistake front and center. A small block needs rotation. Otherwise that is one beautiful quilt.
