I wanted a new handbag and had a pair of my husband's old jeans asking to be recycled into somthing fun. I also had been wanting to try my hand at ribbon embroidery. What better place to embroidery then on a pair of jeans. Made me remember my jeans during my teenage years in the 70s. Okay, the embroidery then was more peace signs and such, but I think my flowers on the handbag turned out nicely and the leather purse handles really adds to the bag. The jeans were Harley Davidson jean hence the HD logo. A cool thing with the HD jean is the watch or coin pocket is, it is complete pocket, so I used it on the front of the bag. Thanks for looking.:)

Excellent idea ... how cute

Question

How did you make the handles
Or what did you make them from?

Thanks

Great looking purse! Looks more "grown-up" than other patterns for recycled jeans purse. Did you put pockets on the inside? How did you line it?

That is one cute purse, and I agree it is a much nicer pattern than the usual old jean purses. Would be interested to know how you did it.
