Did you make up your own applique patterns for the animals? If so, and you don't mind my asking, how did you go about doing it? My DH would so love a quilt like this! Its really gorgeous!

I got most of my patterns from a quilt book A Forest of Quilts by: Terri Kralik. and I did the iron applique.

Now that's a Man Quilt any man should love to get one like that

franie 08-03-2010 04:36 PM

I don't have a long home but I agree that would look nice in a cabin or log home--wait, I have a cabin that it would look great in if hubby ever tires of it. LOL I really like that look and it is very manly quilt. And making it up as you go is even more special.

This is a great man-quilt! But I want to crawl under it and get cozy myself. It just gives me that wonderful feeling of being out in the woods with all the great nature smells and quiet, cozy feeling.

tslowery 08-04-2010 09:34 AM

Beautiful quilt

Rexene 08-04-2010 05:19 PM

I love your quilt. It is very masculine but yet I love the theme. Is there a pattern or did you make it up? Are the animals panels or are they appliqued on? Are the plaids homespun? Sorry for all the questions, but this quilt would be great for our "up north" cabin.

quiltaholic 08-04-2010 05:20 PM
