Back into sewing after a 35 yr or so hiatus. Quilting is brand new to me but I am also enjoying quick, cute, clever projects. I'm not sure if this has been posted before but I thought, heck, someone else has to be new too! Right? Anyway, this is a portable ironing board using the cardboard center from an empty bolt of fabric. I took the class at my LQS but not sure if this was her made up pattern or not. I have found it to be very handy already - and a great recycle project.

I have done the same thing but didn't get quite so fancy. I just wrapped mine with a strip of flannel. When it was soiled, I just took it off and tossed it in the washer. There are so many ways to reinvent & not spend money. Did finally buy a table top board. |
