Oh wow.It takes me 2-3 days to figure out 4-5 color combo of fabric for a quilt, I would probably need a year to figure yours out...lol..beautiful quilt i loved it.

Yes, I too would like to know the pattern name. I'm addicted to scraps and scrappy quilts. This pattern is very nice.

Yooper32 03-24-2011 03:33 AM

Ohhh, I like that. I may steal your idea, if you don't mind. I am working on a crazy quilt type scrap quilt, but only in between other projects, so who knows when I will ever have enough of those for a quilt. I just use my scrap pile to do them.

grammyto2 03-24-2011 03:40 AM

wonderfully scrappy, love it.

Ha! I'm making bento box blocks like yours right now too and my DH is begging me not to cut them up! Yours are beautiful, I don't blame you for not wanting to change them at all.

I don't know what a bento block is. But I like this just the way it is, so graphic and such great colors.

Like your quilt alot and a nice way to use scraps. Like your title.

trugger 03-24-2011 06:21 AM

Hey Everyone,
I thought I'd add that I got this idea from Film in the Fridge's blog -
This was a log cabin made with different sized rings.
On her site, http://www.filminthefridge.com/2009/...nto-box-quilt/
She makes it a bento.
The scraps, tho, were from years of collectin'!

GrammaBabs 03-24-2011 06:28 AM

This is exactly my kind of quilt,, i'm a knitter and crocheter as well,,,, and have one i made with little scraps of ALL the colors i think i ever used... ones they don't even make any more... didn't plan, just dug in and grabbed... it has ended up to be a pretty nice work of art... this looks like it's "fabric cousin".... I LOVE it...

trugger 03-24-2011 06:32 AM

Thanks, everyone, for you kind compliments.
A "bento" is when you have a log cabin blocks, cut into four quarters, mix them up, then join them back to create a patchy log cabin.
I'm sure there's a better description of it somewhere!

Dianne1 03-24-2011 06:54 AM
