Oh Jan in VA your a genious! I think I two cream, then a red, then a cream for the top and bottom of the block. then one cream and three red strips to ma ke the middle off the block. And the same with the brown, right? Thank you so so so much for the time to help me on this.

Yes, you're right. But you could also make the strips this way, which is a bit less sewing for the blocks.

Like OP, I'd never have seen that! Once pointed out, it's easy to see, but on my own - not so much!
I also covered the black portions of the picture posted by Baloonatic, so I could see what it would look like if not set on point. The on point setting really makes it look so different - and, in my opinion, prettier. It's a lovely quilt. |
This is a gorgeous pattern and definately on my to do list.
