This was suppose to be a set of placemats, but I decided to make a quilt with it useing "The Hope of Heartford" block. and I promised my son I would make him a quilt this year so.... here it is. (lap quilt) 44"x60" I used a large stiple on the entire quilt including the borders.

Belmer I really like everything you do!! This is terriffic! Being able to change in mid-stream and make it wonderful!! The quilting is great--that is what I am working on right now!

Love this, is it the pattern from Quilterscache? I am leery of the block in the middle thing.

Hi Deb.... Thankyou very much. Yes the pattern is from quilterscache. If it was not for this Forum I would never have found it. So a GREAT BIG thankyou to everyone for sharing.
I was a little leary too about the center block. as you can see some of them were a little off.

That is such a gorgeous quilt - perfect for a man. I really like the uniqueness of the block placement and sashing. Did you stipple it with your home machine, or use a long arm?
