sorry to go off topic, but you remind me of a friend in Homewood, Alabama. Any relatives there?

No way! You're not seeing the mess in my house! (We just moved back to Ala. from Wisconsin about 2 weeks ago, and we've got WAYYYYY too much junk in every nook and cranny) I haven't even gotten to sew for about 3 weeks, and I'm having withdrawals!

My sewing machine is also in the kitchen and I cut on the kitchen island. But somehow we manage don't we . My fabric and tools are in the same room with my computer and file cabinet along with my printer and xerox machine. Not to mention my quilt inspector. When I figure out how to send pics I will. BTW, My computer room is about 8 X 8 or 8 X 9.Some fabric in my closet, some under the bed and more in basement. Guess I am lucky to be ble to buy all this stuff huh ?

regarding the banquet tables, I experience is the older heavy ones work fine, the new plastic ones vibrate; alot on the sides, less on the end if the legs are not in the way. I do have a personal size that seems to work fine, I don't any vibration. JMHO

I also have 3 really heavy banquet table set up in my sewing room and they are perfect for sewing. They are the good kind, made with MDF laminated tops. Very heavy. I have one more that needs to have the top replaced and I want to cut a hole in it to recess my machine.

We moved here 5 years ago and I'm still remodeling, lol. My Sewing room seems to be at the very bottom of the list. We're not even done with the first floor.
