Okay, it was a rough start as I am not a sewer. I want to thank everyone who offered help and support when I couldn't even thread my machine correctly.

Anyway, this is a pic of my very first finished top! It turned out better than I thought...WooHoooooooooo!

I'll start reading tomorrow to figure out what I'm suppose to do next.

Congrats! That looks wonderful. I love the brown denim mixed in with the blue. I may have to borrow that idea. ;)

That is one great quilt! You did a beautiful job and should be proud. Denim is not the easiest fabric to work with so I hope you next project will be a breeze! Ok, what's next? ;)

clem55 06-03-2010 01:54 PM

Yep. Even though this one isn't finished, I've already started looking for my next project. This one really did turn out better than I had hoped, and is a bit bigger too!

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I had heard that denim was difficult to work with but decided to give it a shot anyway. Trying to sew the last half together was a real BEAR! Not too sure what the next project will be, but I wouldn't mind doing another using my scraps.

MamaBear61 06-03-2010 03:36 PM

Very nice, great job!

Yarn or Fabric 06-03-2010 03:38 PM

That is just wonderful! I have been saving denim of different shades and colors - grabbing them up from rummage sales when I can... something like this is so on my future to do list!!

You did a great job on it! Looks fabulous!

Vivian Ketron 06-03-2010 03:58 PM

Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you had seen my first attempt at a Log Cabin, you would agree with me. I must say that this pattern was quite forgiving.
